Hi! I’m sykloid (a.k.a. Shyam a.k.a. P.C. Shyamshankar), and you’ve reached my corner of the internet. Welcome!

By trade, I’m a computer scientist, researcher, engineer, and member of the technical staff at Galois in Washington D.C. My technical interests lie at the intersection of databases, programming languages and compilers; I spend most of my time bringing that expertise to bear on research prototypes of all shapes and sizes.

I received my PhD in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore MD, where I worked with Dr. Yanif Ahmad on language design and declarative memory management techniques for large-scale data processing systems.
